In June 2026, international shipping prices rose across the board. Routes in Europe, America, South America, Africa, etc. all increased their rates. Ship capacity was tight and many routes were severely oversubscribed.
The US and European routes saw the largest price increases. The 40-foot container rates generally rose by several hundred to several thousand dollars compared to May. The situation in the Red Sea led some ships to take detours, causing further increases in freight and surcharges.
Please note: Try to book shipping space as early as possible for your shipments in the near future to avoid price hikes and empty containers, and to control costs.
